Two different translations, two different meanings

Posted on March 21, 2018 by Netanel

Two different translations…

Two different meanings

Psalms 31:24 NIV

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Correct translation………

Be strong, and He will make your heart stronger, all you who hope in YHWH

We must make the first move, then God joins us and makes us brave. We must start the ball rolling, he makes our heart stronger only after we decide we are going to be strong.

New Year correct translation: Warning

Posted on September 9, 2015 by Netanel

New Year correct translation

PART 1

I marvel at the inaccuracy of the English translations. English translations mislead us at times from the truth.

They call this feast “The feast of trumpets”. Nowhere in the Hebrew Bible is the word “trumpet” ever associated with this feast. And this feast is never referred to” the new year”, as we call it in Israel today.

Doesn’t the enemy like to hide the truth from us? Going back to the correct title for this feast is the first step of seeing the prophetic picture in this season.

New year warning

Part 2

The parable of the ten virgins represents Christians or believers, all of whom fell asleep. They represent believers in Christ spanning the last two thousand years. Some will rise from the dead because their lamps had oil and others will rise to the wrath of God because their lamps did not have oil. They were unprepared when the bridegroom came, and He shut the door to them. Every Christian for the past 2,000 years has had a chance to prepare for the bridegroom. At the last trump, the faithful virgins of all generations will be resurrected for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and those who are unprepared will not be able to attend.

Warning: Yom Kippur

Part 3

What is the warning for? It is directly connected to Yom Kippur…

Warning: The Glory Of God Outside The Camp

part 4

According to Jewish tradition, Moses came down the mountain with the tablets of Yom Kippur. His face shone with the glory of God, and the children of Israel were unable to gaze directly on his face. This is a type of the second coming of Yeshua. The Jubilee trumpet was sounded on Yom Kippur. The glory of YHWH left the camp after the golden calf never to return. The sin of Golden calf forgiven by YHWH would continue to meet with Moses outside the camp.

I am the Vine of Truth (not, I am the true vine)

Posted on September 7, 2015 by Netanel

I am the Vine of Truth (not, I am the true vine)

“I am the true vine”.

The true translation is…“I am The Vine of Truth”.

It is true in Aramic and Hebrew.

Genfen, Vine and branches

The word Vine in Hebrew is “Gefen” and means to be low and bent.

Yeshua said “I am the Vine and you are the branches”. Why the Vine? Why not the fig tree?

vinyard

The church should be like a vine, the wood of the vine isn’t used to build houses and furniture. The church isn’t fancy buildings but a living organic body; no outward beauty. The churches’ beauty in the inner man of the heart, not outward adornments.

Why not I am the fig tree and you are the branches? “Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine near a spring, whose branches climb over the wall.”

Christendom is a labyrinth of walls with many compartments, the King James Bible compartment, the baptism in Jesus name compartment, the name of Yahweh compartment, and many more.

The true vine bearing the life of Christ climbs over these walls. Everywhere we walk, we find believers in Christ shut up between some kind of walls. The vine is a climber; it clings to things as it grows and moves. Those who bear the life of Yeshua climb, cling and commit themselves to every culture and denomination spreading the fragrance of Christ. We break the dividing wall of Jew, Muslim, Greek, and gentile.

Are you in a culture box or a theological correct box? Don’t limit God to just moving within your four walls. The way to get someone out of their narrow way of thinking is to connect them to the vine. Those connected to the like supply of God can climb over these walls and love those within. Those within their walls lack the life of the Vine. Unity comes through the life of Christ as this life breaks through all barriers.

Truth is constantly growing.

Our family is constantly growing also. On days off from the army, our daughter Naomi brings home lone soldiers who have no parents in Israel to look after them. What’s more, Naomi is getting engaged. Her future husband is the son of a Jewish Israeli pastor. His name is Gavriel (Gabriel in English). Gavriel is also serving in the army (Israeli defense force). We are so delighted to see them on their precious days off from the army traveling to Tell Aviv together to join in fellowship.

The engagement party is in 6 days time on Saturday the 8th.

Naomi is still serving in the Army in the hot Negev desert.

Love and blessings, Netanel.

Born From Above

Born from Above (Begotten)

It is very important to listen to this intro before starting the “Born from Above” sub series.

After listening to the audio above, please proceed to the next three lessons.

Also, the whole introduction is transcripted below if you would like to read while you are listening!

Transcript of Intro:

This is an introduction for the lessons on Being Born From Above. It also serves as an overall introduction. One thing I have learned during my extensive experiences of guiding tour groups for a long time (and I have guided Muslims and Christians, as well as people from one extreme to another of Christianity), is that when you present someone with a new truth, which undoubtedly is a truth, quite often the first reaction of the person is to attack you. Usually they think later as it settles in, but believe me it has happened many times.

So, usually I warn people ahead of time, and I say “Look, you know, I am saying some things here that are going to be new to you… And if you have any holy cows, (because most of us do), put them in the back paddock. And especially if they are old bulls, they are slightly more dangerous than the cows.”

So, as I said before, the Words of God have been entrusted to the Jewish People. This is a calling which is irrevocable. God clearly states in the Word that we are all equal, Jew and Gentile, but then Paul says: “Well, what advantage is there of being a Jew?” He further states that the Jews are entrusted with the Words of God. That’s an advantage, but it doesn’t mean we are not equal. Look at a man and his wife. They are supposed to complement one another. For example where there is two, they are supposed to be gifted in different areas, so that they can help one another in each of their blind spots. And it is the same when you hear two people singing a duet, its beautiful, because they have different types of voices and when they’re singing together in harmony there is a real beauty about it.

And if you listen to my teaching on the five stones, David killed Goliath with one stone, but he took 5 stones from the river. During this teaching, I am referring to Jesus being our foundation stone, but the cornerstone is Jew and Gentile, and we complement one another. For a Gentile not to listen to a Jew, is equivalent to a man not listening to his wife. Just implying that you are totally irrelevant, you know every I’m the boss, and you’ve got nothing to contribute. But of course, Gentiles have got something to give us as well.

For thirty years now, I have struggled with the English Translation of the Bible, and that what I teach on being born from above, is a fact. You know the word “again” in “being born again” is just not in the New testament. The translators have put it in. So, I am coming to give you the indisputable truth. If you go back to the original languages, it’s just not there. So what are you going to do; how are you going to interpret the truth?

That’s a different matter. What’s your interpretation on it? For instance, the central part of Jesus’ teaching is that if you try to save your soul, you will lose it and if you lose your soul, you’ll save it. But the modern translations have put the word “life” in instead of “soul”. This is very dangerous. It makes it out that this central part of Jesus teaching, is only relevant for martyrs who get killed, and then they go to heaven afterwards. But it’s the soul and not your life, and it’s a process. This is the only teaching of Jesus which are recorded four times; Matthew records it twice, Mark once, Luke twice, and John once. But it is mentioned 6 times in 4 different places. There is absolutely no other equivalent when Jesus says: If you save your soul, you lose it, you’ve got to take up the cross. That’s the central part of our gospel, so we are receiving the goal of our faith and the salvation of our souls.

Let’s just look at the word “soul”. It appears in the King James Bible 753 times, but it is translated “life” when it shouldn’t be 117 times. This one word “nefesh” in Hebrew is translated “person” when it shouldn’t, 29 times. It’s translated “mind” 15 times when it shouldn’t. There is a difference between mind and soul in Hebrew. It’s translated “heart” 15 times when it shouldn’t be. This is the King James Version. It’s translated “appetite” twice and it is translated “themselves” 3 times. It’s further translated as “desire” 4 times, and “dead” 5 times.

In the first 10 chapters of Genesis, the word “the”, in English is put in when it shouldn’t 256 times. And believe me, you can go in some of the places and it changes the whole meaning of the scriptures by adding the word “the”. So, we can do it together.

When you listen to these teachings, in Part One, I focus on the “seed” as being born from above. In the second teaching, I focus on the word “born”, which really should have been translated “begat,” because the Western mind refers it to a mother. One of the questions that comes up is your eternal security, saved or once saved always saved. We have to take all the scriptures into context. I am teaching that being born from above is a process. And straight away people think well you know, how much of a process does there need to be for me? Which is a genuine question. But one thing is for sure, if you think that by just receiving the Holy Spirit and having a born again experience, is your gateway to heaven, then THAT is totally out of context with a whole lot of other scriptures. It’s a process for us to go deeper. When we abandon one idea and go to another, it creates new questions all the time. But, we have to run with the truth, and we’ve got to love the truth. And I am not getting into the issue “once saved always saved”, because it is not an issue with me. I just live and preach the gospel which I try to live everyday.

Ok, so people relate salvation to the born again experience, that’s not true for a start. Because, if you read the book of John, whenever he says, “Born Again” he refers to eternal life, not to salvation. Being born from above, or the wrong translation born again is never, ever-ever connected to the word salvation. But, today contemporary Christianity has wrongly connected them. I am going to teach salvation in another part in another lesson and there you will see that salvation isn’t eternal life. It isn’t your eternal security. It is something that happens here on earth. It is your “azozo”, it’s your being made whole, it’s your being disconnected from the world, but it is not eternal life. Salvation is focusing on something that happens to you here on this earth.

Also in the book of John it says that believing in Jesus is enough. Well, in Greek it says to believe into Him. It is not believing on Him. Imagine a circle, believing on it is just believing that Jesus is the Son of God. It is not enough. He says you have to believe into me. We have to put on Christ. So, you might say, “Well, how much of a process do I have to go through?” Mmmm that is not the question at the moment. The first stage is just to bring to your understanding that it is a process. And, as I said before, this is in total harmony with all the other scriptures. The once born again and saved and always saved is out of context with other scriptures. You will find this especially in John chapter 12, if you love your soul, you lose it, and if you hate your soul you will keep it “into” eternal life. The key to eternal life is actually bearing the cross daily and losing your soul life.

I am going to explain this process more in the Third Lesson of the series about being born from above or being fathered from above. It is something to chew over. And as I said before, there indisputable truth is that there is no such thing scripturally as being born again as a one-time experience: “boom.” There’s no such thing as it. But, I will explain that as we go on. We receive the Holy Spirit, yes… we have that experience, yes… but, we’ve got to interpret it the right way with the scriptures. And we will do this, so just please have patience with these next three lessons in particular.

God bless you all with the truth, and let us love the truth… so that God himself doesn’t send us a “delusion” as it says in Thessalonians. The key to one of the safeguards against deception is to embrace the truth. Sometimes you have to embrace what you don’t know and put on the shelf what you do know. You know, I still have questions that are unanswered, and so do you… but, we hold on to what we do know and gradually, like a snowball, the truth accumulates and accumulates.

Halleluyah! Thank you! Enjoy the lessons in the Name of Yeshua. Amen!

A new understanding on the Lord’s prayer based on a translational error

A new understanding on the Lord’s prayer based on a translational error

Consider this…it is an important key in the Lord’s Prayer which has been lost in translation.

Have we totally misunderstood? Praying for provision comes before praying for relationships and holiness!

We are to pray heaven to earth in three areas of our life:

1. Provision; “…give us this day our daily (not a correct translation of this word)bread…”

2. Relationships; “…forgive us our sins as we forgive others…”

3. Holiness; “… lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil…”

I am happy for today

I am happy for today

This might sound strange but here is the biblical reason why I can say that.

Exodus 12:2 God established a biblical new year. “This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.” The month of Passover is the beginning of the New Year, it is the spring festival.  So the Jewish calendar says that “spring” is the New Year. New life! The old has passed away and the new has come.

After Passover we have more feasts, which brings us into new seasons.

Does God still work in seasons?

Seasons in our personal life and worship of YHWH
The New Testament clearly says that YHWH works in us in seasons. “Season’s” is wrongly translated as “times” in some translations.

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19. In this passage, the word translated as” times” of refreshing is actually more correctly translated as “seasons” in Greek and Hebrew. God gives us “seasons of refreshing.”

From the very beginning of my Christian walk I noticed a connection to new things YHWH was doing in my life and the Jewish calendar.  For example I came to faith and immigrated to Israel and was married at a time of a feast. Also, the times I have been refreshed in the word have been in patterns occurring the same time every year. Even in Eternity, “the new heavens and the new earth”  there are still Sabbaths, New Moons,  and 12 kinds of fruit every month (Rev 22:2) (Isaiah 66:22-23). The tree planted by streams of water yields her fruit “in seasons” (Psalm 1:3).

Here we see seasons in the new heaven and the new earth.

Seasons concerning Israel and the Church

The Jewish calendar revolves around 49 year cycles. Every 49 years is the year of Jubilee, where there not only is freedom from slavery, but debts are remitted and everyone returns to their inheritance.  Daniel chapter 9 shows us the prophecy that reveals the seasons for God’s purpose for the nation of Israel; that Israel would be under gentile rule for 490 years that are 10 Jubilees.

The tabernacle was finished on this very day and the glory of YHWH filled the tabernacle.

As the New Year came in last night in Jerusalem (our days starts in the evening) we here in Jerusalem celebrated the New Year in a meeting where there was a powerful move of Yeshua with the Holy Spirit. As well as giving both Dikla and I received encouraging prophecies that were clearly from YHWH.

The virgin birth of the Messiah

Posted on December 26, 2012 by Netanel

The virgin birth of the Messiah

The virgin birth of the Messiah can be more profoundly grasped when we understand an important translation issue from the original Hebrew language of the Tenach, or Old Testament. Leviticus 17:11 is commonly translated, “the life of the flesh is in the blood”; but the Hebrew Bible actually says, “the soul of the flesh is in the blood”. The difference is important. The word often translated “life” in Hebrew (נפש) and Greek (psyche), is more accurately, “soul”, not “life”. This occurs in the Hebrew Old Testament 117 times, and an additional 4 times it is wrongly translated, “desire”.

Now consider the following verses:

“You are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” [1 Peter 1:9].

“Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.” [James 1:21] Simply stated, the purpose of our faith is that our souls be saved, because our souls are corrupted. Of course this has profoundly affected our bodies as well, which also need salvation.

IMG_7427

Now the Lord, Himself commanded us to take up our cross daily. But immediately after saying this, He added, “Whoever wants to save his soul (psyche) will lose it, and whoever loses his soul for my sake will find it.” [Mt. 16:25]. Yeshua clearly stated that in order for our soul to be saved we must lose it, and He indicated the method which He Himself pioneered; the cross needs to crucify it.

Back to our verse, “the soul of the flesh is in the blood”. It is medically proven that a baby’s blood is formed solely from the blood of the father even though the baby may have a different blood type. Have you ever wondered why YHVH visited the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation and not the mothers; or why all Biblical genealogies are reckoned through men and never women? Here is an amazing truth!

Taking the illustration of seed and soil: which one determines the nature and form of the plant? Of course it’s the seed. No matter what the quality of the soil is, planting a carrot seed will always produce a carrot, and nothing else. Well, the same is true of a women’s womb. The womb, just like the soil, can only provide the environment and sustenance for the seed to grow to maturity. But it is the seed of the man (going all the way back to the first man, Adam) which determines the quality of the “plant”, in this case, a human being. The father’s seed carries the sin to his son or daughter, through the blood from his seed. “The sins of the fathers….”

So sin is proliferated from generation to generation in a very literal and biological manner; passed from the blood of the father, and particularly, the sin-filled soul which is in that blood, down to the children, from generation to generation. The man’s sperm is the seed, the woman’s womb, the soil. Seed and sperm are the same words in Hebrew. In the same way, every bread which is baked has a bit of the old leaven in it from the last batch. So every baby has the leaven (blood) of the father.

We have, in the feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread the perfect example of how the cycle of sin was terminated by the Messiah. Passover puts an end to sin through His perfect sacrifice, (and its cleansing blood), and Unleavened Bread terminates the cycle of leaven from bread to bread and typifies the breaking of the chain of sin passing from blood to blood, soul to soul.

This is why Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised seed of Woman and why the Virgin Birth was necessary. Women do not have sperm. And the Lord had no earthly father, and therefore, carried none of the blood of fallen man in his veins, since sin is transferred through fathers, in the blood which carries the soul.

Now, here is our real hope. A grain of wheat that dies and is buried in the soil, then sprouts and bears a hundredfold, yields wheat grains which have the same DNA as the grain of wheat that died. We have borne the DNA of our first father Adam. But through our faith in Yeshua, the Second “Adam”, our Adamic nature is crucified with Messiah, and we have inherited the DNA of Him that died, was resurrected, and became the first born of many brothers. We can now keep the feast of Unleavened Bread, since Yeshua cancelled the DNA of a thousand generations all the way back to Adam. And it was His birth through a virgin which qualified Him perfectly for this sanctifying work.
